Stephen Frederick Guarr of Wynne, formerly of Forrest City, died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Stephen was born in Osceola, Arkansas on December 11, 1942. He taught English in the Forrest City Public School System for 40 years. He married Mrs. Jean Zimmer in 1965. He was a member of the Forrest City Area Humane Society, Mid South Cocker Spaniel Rescue and the Pug Rescue. Survivors are his wife, Jean Guarr of Wynne, sisters, Ann and Gary Littleton of Monroe, Louisiana, Judy and Kent Drury of North Richland Hills, Texas, cousins, Marolyn Robbins-Guarr of Marked Tree, Charlotte Griffith of Jonesboro, three dogs and seven cats. A memorial gathering will be held at Colby's Restaurant on Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 2:00-4:00 PM. All friends and family are invited. Kernodle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
