Sally Mae Adams Perkins, age 79, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at CrossRidge Community Hospital, with her beloved husband by her bedside, and surrounded by her family. Sally was born on August 24, 1941, in Vanndale, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Vanndale High School. She married Jackie Vance Perkins on July 27, 1958. She loved being a farmer's wife and homemaker. She also owned and operated a children's shop, Little Treasures for a number of years before retiring with Jackie to Heber Springs, Arkansas, where they spent many happy years. They also loved pulling out on the road with their camper and spent many winters in South Texas with a large group of friends from all over. They made friends easily wherever they lived or visited and were loved by many. They had recently moved back to Wynne to be closer to their great grandchildren. Sally was a lifelong Methodist. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sisters, aunt, and mother-in-law. Sally is survived by her lifelong soulmate and husband, Jackie Perkins of Wynne, her children Pam Rotter (Steve) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Jackie Hathcock (Rusty) of Wynne and Brad Perkins (Judy) of Lonoke, Arkansas. her grandchildren, Brock Hathcock (Lacey) of Wynne, Blake Baker (Zach) of Wynne, and Zack Perkins (Erin) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and her great grandchildren, Tack Perkins of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jamieson Baker, Jack Baker and Harper Hathcock all of Wynne. In addition Sally is survived by her beloved mother, Margaret Harmon Adams, 99 of Wynne, her sisters, Betty Ransom of Wynne, Charlotte Patton (Elmer) of Wynne, and her brother, Otis Bert Adams, Jr. (Glenda) of Vanndale, as well as her sisters-in-law, Donna Vaught (Sam) of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas and Annette Crockett (Robert) of Wynne, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her father, Otis Adams, Sr., her father and mother-in-law, Vance and Lois Perkins, and her niece Kelley Vaught Armstrong. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the 363 Backpack Program, P. O. Box 1002, Wynne, Arkansas 72396 or McElroy Methodist Church, 2535 Hwy 284, Wynne, Arkansas 72396 and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Because of COVID restrictions a graveside service will be in Cogbill Cemetery on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 2 PM. Face coverings are required.
