Mr. Ricky Marvin Mathes of Forrest City, Arkansas died on Friday, September 16, 2016 in Wynne, Arkansas. Ricky was born on September 1, 1956 in Visalia, California to Marvin Hoody and Meda Elizabeth Flowers Mathes. He was the owner and operator of Mathes Auto Repair in Forrest City, Arkansas. Ricky was a member of Oak Hill Church of God. Ricky married Denise Danielle Harris and she survives him along with his son, Marvin Wayne Mathes and wife Misty of Forrest City, Arkansas, daughters, Wendy Marie Roberts and husband Darrel of Forrest City, Arkansas, Nikki Hatcher of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Sarah Lawrence and husband Andy of Forrest City, Arkansas, Jessica Varner and husband Morgan of Dardanelle, Celeste Vanaman and husband Charlie of Colt, Arkansas, living parents, Dorothy and Roy Peterson of Colt, Arkansas, brothers, Paul Mathes of Williamsport, Tennessee, Douglas Mathes of Palestine, Arkansas, Steve Mathes of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, sisters, Lorlee Evans of Illinois, Diane Trim of Forrest City, Arkansas, Teresa Micheals of Forrest City, Arkansas, and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Marvin Hoody Mathes, Jr. and his parents, Marvin and Meda Mathes. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial in Lindsey Cemetery.
