Kathy Lea Hemingway

Kathy Lea Hemingway of Wynne, Arkansas died Monday, May 9, 2022, at UAMS, Little Rock, Arkansas. She was 63. Kathy was born on May 2, 1959, in the Cross County Hospital in Wynne, Arkansas. She was a 1977 graduate of Wynne High School and attended Memphis Academy of Arts, UCA at Conway, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Kathy's passion was helping animals, especially cats. She was instrumental with the start of Wynne Friends of Animals, helping and volunteering when and where she could. She worked for the Little Rock Zoo in the past as a large animal keeper. Kathy was also a master gardener and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are her mother, Patsy Glenn Everett, of Wynne, aunt, Peggy G. Stone of McEwen, Tennessee, uncles, H. Burt Glenn and wife Jacalyn of Conway, Danny Glenn of Wynne, Jamey Glenn of Wynne and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Gale Hemingway and sister, Kristy Ann Hemingway. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2 PM at Cogbill Cemetery.
