James "Buddy" Leroy Hammonds

James "Buddy" Hammonds, 77, of Wynne, died on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at RiverRidge Nursing Home. Buddy was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, on July 26, 1944, to the late J. W. and Myrtle Lucille Taylor Hammonds. Buddy was a graduate of Wynne High School and then served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an office manager when living in Minneapolis, Minesota. He enjoyed the outdoors and researching ancestry. Survivors are his, brother, Denny Hammonds and wife Susan of Cherry Valley, nieces and nephews, Donna Lynn Craft and husband Ricky of Powersite, MO, Jeff Woolbright and wife Brenda of Davis Junction, Il, James Baldwin and wife Angie, of Augusta, Georgia, Erin Antonopoulos and husband Jimmy, of Elgin, Il, Hank Hammonds and wife Kelley, of Tennessee, Reed Peevy and wife Amy of Jonesboro, Karen Murphy Seabaugh and husband Steve of Cherry Valley, Judy Murphy Ballard of Hickory Ridge, thirteen great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Lucille Hammonds Neel, sisters, Carolyn Baldwin and Sheila Richards, niece, Lisa Baldwin, cousin, Myrna Hammonds Murphy and nephew, Mark Woolbright. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 10 am until 11 am, a memorial service will follow at 11 AM.
