Edwin Richard Lace

Mr. Edwin "Ed" Richard Lace, 82, of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, died on Thursday, May 21, 2020, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Ed was born on August 28, 1937, in Cherry Valley to the late Cecil Edwin Lace and Emma Lorene Jones Lace. He was a retired farmer and truck driver. Ed was active in his community and several boards in the community, the Crowley's Ridge Country Club board, the Methodist Board, Cross County Board of Education, Cherry Valley Water Association and was a member of the Fire Department and the Lions Club. Ed enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Parker Lace of Cherry Valley, sons, Edwin "Ricky" Lace of Cherry Valley, Michael Lynn Lace and wife Deborah of Garland, Texas, sisters, Julia Hall, Carolyn Hayes, and Shirley Lee all of Wynne, brothers, Bud Lace of Cherry Valley, Dale Lace of Canton, Georgia, Daryl Lace of Marshfield, Missouri, grandchildren, Jessica Burkett, Laura Lynn Thomson, and Marla Cissell. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Norah, Chiles and Briggs. Visitation for family will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home on Saturday at 12:30 with graveside services following at 2 PM at Tyer Cemetery, with Rev. Janice Williams officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cherry Valley Food Pantry.
