Mr. Donald Hopper, 81, of Wynne, Arkansas, 81, died on Monday, April 25, 2022, at CrossRidge Community Hospital. Donald was born on April 17, 1941, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. He was a Graduate of Wynne High School. Donald worked for the Wynne Police Department from October 1975, until August 1997, retiring as Captain and hired on with the Cross County Sherriff Department August 1997, serving until August 30, 2005, retiring as a Captain. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lynda Crawford Hopper of the home, son, Steve Hopper and wife Tami, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, grandsons, Wes Hopper of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Jeremy Hopper of Mt. Home, Arkansas, brother, Frank Hopper of Wynne, sisters, Martha Graves of Montgomery, Alabama, and JoAnn Johnson of Wynne, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, L. D Hopper and Joyce Hopper and brother, Leonard Hopper. Visitation for Mr. Hopper will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home, Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 1:30 until 2 PM. Graveside services will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery at 2:30 PM, with Jeremy Hopper officiating.
