He was a farmer of Cecil Owens-Malone Creek Farms until he retired in 2015 and was founder/owner of Pluck-a-Duck, Goose Lodge, and Waterfowl Flyway, Inc. since 1989. He had an amazing force within him to never meet a stranger. You always knew when you saw him that you were going to hear a great story or a hilarious joke. He loved to play guitar and sing for whomever would listen. IN his younger years he had his pilot license and flew his own plane. Throughout his earthly life he enjoyed arrowhead hunting, visiting historical places, being out in the woods with nature, but he thoroughly loved conversations with family, friends, and clients at the hunting lodge and at the Sisson Hunt Club in Fordyce. Shorty was a Master Mason of Forrest City Lodge #198, served on the board at Cross County Farmers Supply, and attended Three Trees Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Three Trees Cowboy Church on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 1 to 2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Bro. Tracy Wilson and Bro. Kirk Owens officiating.
