    Cathryn Camille Harris

    October 27, 1932 - February 7, 2022

Cathryn Camille Harris, affectionately known by family and friends as “Kitty”, died on Monday, February 7, 2022, at CrossRidge Community Hospital. Cathryn was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 27, 1932, to the late Leland and Camille Smith Harris. She was a Wynne High School graduate and studied at Hendrix College and Memphis State University. Cathryn was a loan officer at Leader Federal Savings and Loan in Memphis. When her young nieces visited, she loved to show them off at work and to her friends. A quintessential businesswoman, she was partial to high fashion. Cathryn was a lifelong Methodist and a member of United Methodist Women. Cathryn enjoyed her domestic and international travels, especially those to Washington, D. C. Her hobbies included reading, family genealogy, following the flights of the Concorde, and learning everything about the British Royal Family. She also loved making her lemon ice box pie, a family favorite. Her parents, sisters Dorothy and Joyce and brother-in-law Bob preceded her in death. She is survived by her three nieces, Cara Patterson (John) of Searcy, Arkansas, Jana Ragland (Lee) of Madison, Mississippi, and Maia Miller of Holly Springs, Mississippi; her great nieces, Anna Strong, Amy Morledge, Emily Juel, Elaine Ragland, Cathryn Richey; her great nephew, Graham Miller; their spouses. She is also survived by three great-great nieces and eight great-great nephews. A private family burial is planned at Cogbill Cemetery at a later time. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wynne, 800 N. Falls Blvd, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
