Betty Charlene Nicholson

Mrs. Betty Charlene Nicholson, 75, of Wynne, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Charlene was born on May 27, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas and was the daughter of Charley and Betty Mae Linam Thomas. Charlene taught school for 25 years. She was a member of the Cross County Historical Society, Hospital Auxiliary, Wynne Welcome Wagon, President of the Gideon Auxiliary and a member of Wynne Baptist Church. She worked tirelessly spreading the gospel. Charlene married Mr. Bill Nicholson in 1974 and they had four children. She was blessed with wonderful family and friends and brought joy and laughter wherever she was. She is survived by her husband, Bill Nicholson of the home, sons, Charles Nicholson and wife, Lori of Little Rock, William “Will” Nicholson, III and wife Leigh of Wynne, daughters, Carla Spencer and husband Terrell of West Fork, Arkansas, Jean Marie Rich and husband Phil of College Station, TX, and honorary daughter, Veronikha “Vee” Salazar and husband Franco, sisters, Alice Thomas and Billie Jean Thweatt both of Memphis, nephew, Wesley Thweatt of Memphis, 12 grandchildren, William IV Nicholson, Morgan Nicholson, Wyatt Nicholson, Katy Nicholson, Charles Thomas Nicholson, Phillip Nicholson, Simeon Spencer, Silas Spencer, Gwen Spencer, Jackson Rich, Olivia Rich, Isaac Rich, and honorary granddaughter, Abigail Esquenche. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Betty Thomas. Pallbearers will be, Will Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Phil Rich, Wesley Thweatt, William Nicholson, Gary Parker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terrell Spencer, Bill Winkler, Gary Wood, Buddy Pribble, James Wilson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10 AM with burial following in Cogbill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideon's, P. O.
